At my parish we have 4 weekend masses, each with a different “personality”:
Saturday Vigil is “contemporary”, but not rock music.
Sunday 8 am is “conservative, traditional” (this is the one I attend!)
Sunday 10 am is “children and families”; since we have a school, this one is oriented more towards the children.
Sunday 5 pm is “college/high school” with bands, electric guitars, drums, rock music, etc.
I suggest attending various services at the same parish, as not all of them (even at the same parish) are going to be alike.
