I’m 3 months into my First Nine Friday devotion. Unfortunately, my diocese has cancelled all liturgies until mid April due to the coronavirus outbreak. Therefore, there is no mass I can attend to recieve holy communion on the First Friday of April. Is anyone else facing the same issue? Do I simply begin anew in May? Thank you for any guidance. God bless! Stay well!

Begin again, and remember in those Masses subsequent those who lost their life in this pandemic. We are well into the thousands, and likely will be in the tens of thousands if this doesn’t come to heel quickly.

Pray and ask Jesus Sacred heart for a miracle. There is a while until first Friday, see what happens.
Do the Holy hour anyway and pray before the Blessed Sacrament online, even if you can’t pray as if and keep asking.

Just make a Holy Hour and a Spiritual Communion on the First Friday. Perhaps you can pull up a live stream of the Eucharist for virtual Adoration at your Holy Hour at home.

Then when Mass resumes again, you can pick up where you left off with the Fridays, or you can start another series of nine, whichever you prefer.

A few years ago I was on my ninth Friday and Mass got unexpectedly cancelled by an ice storm, so I did the holy hour at home.
