First Saturdays Devotion

I have a question regarding the first saturday devotion. Must the confession be done within 8 days before or after the first saturday? The church I attend now doesn’t have a scheduled confession and the priest even rejected my request for confession last time so I am reluctant to ask him again for confession

I might only be able to go for confession probably within 1 or 2 weeks time in other church which is quite far from here

**This confession may be made on the First Saturday itself, or eight days before or after the First Saturday, and it also may be associated with another devotion. **Thus the confession made in connection with First Friday devotion may likewise be offered in reparation to Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart in connection with the First Saturday devotion. The doubts that had risen in Sister Lucia’s mind on this matter were resolved by the Child Jesus in His apparition to her of Feb. 15, 1926. She explained to Him the difficulties some experience in getting to confession on Saturdays, and asked whether confession made within the preceding eight days would suffice, the Child Jesus replied:

“Yes, the confession could precede, even for a longer period of time, provided when they receive Me, they be in the state of grace, and the confession is made with the intention of making reparation to the Immaculate Heart of My Mother.”

“But if the person forgets to make the intention of reparation at that confession?” asked Lucia. Our Lord told her, “Let him make the intention in the next confession, taking the earliest possible opportunity to confess.”

This Saturday September 6 2014 is the First Saturday of September 2014.

Our Lady asked for reparation on this day especially by making five consecutive First Saturdays in reparation for the sins committed against her Immaculate Heart.
The devotion includes Communion, Confession, 5 decades of the Rosary, and meditation for 15 minutes on the mysteries of the Rosary while keeping her company.

A short reflection on Our Lady. The history of the world was altered at the event of God becoming man in the womb of the Blessed Virgin. Never before had the world known such a relationship with God.

Today is The First Saturday of October 2014 …

And a reminder to all those called, of the FIVE FIRST SATURDAYS DEVOTION in reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Our Lady asked for reparation for the sins committed against her Immaculate Heart by:

Receiving Holy Communion
Making a good Confession
Reciting 5 decades of the Holy Rosary
Keeping Her company by meditating for 15 minutes on the Mysteries of her Rosary

All with the intention of this reparation to her Immaculate Heart.

Perhaps not all are called to this devotion, but if by the grace of God you are being prompted, I encourage you!

This Saturday November 1 2014, The Feast of All Saints, is the First Saturday of November 2014:

Our Lady asked for reparation for five specific sins committed against her Immaculate Heart -

1.Attacks upon Mary’s Immaculate Conception;
2.Attacks against her Perpetual Virginity;
3. Attacks upon her Divine Maternity and the refusal to accept her as the Mother of all mankind;
4. For those who try to publicly implant in children’s hearts indifference, contempt, and even hatred of this Immaculate Mother;
5.For those who insult her directly in her sacred images.

And she asked for reparation on 5 consecutive First Saturdays of

Holy Communion
Confession within 8 days
5 Decades of the Rosary
and keeping her company by meditating for 15 minutes on the mysteries of the Holy Rosary
