I need you guys to tell me where I should ask my “question”. Where is the right place for this question to be asked? Don’t get mad now, I don’t consider myself a pacifist. How does a Christian justify war? Jesus sacrificed his life to show us that the answer was to turn the other cheek, love God above all else, love your neighbor as yourself. He knew God would give him the gift of everlasting life if he was true to His commandments. Jesus passed on all the pleasures and joy of life here on earth and endured torture and death because he loved God and us so much that he wanted to show us the path to everlasting happiness. So, how can we use the Gospel to justify going to war? Thanks.

Hi there! Welcome to the forums! 👋

Great question. I think you’d get good answers if you posted in the Apologetics forum. Maybe under Moral Theology?

I would use the last sentence in your post as the thread title or maybe “How does a Christian justify going to war?”

God Bless,
CM

Yeah, I just sent a reported post on that. So, this’ll be moved there soon. There’s probably other threads on the topic, too (I know there were some, but they could’ve been erased during the forum crash).
