Me thinks this is the first stages of research that will lead to a Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine. Buck and Axel’s Nobel prize was awarded primarily for their seminal paper in Cell in 1991, and Kandel got it in 2000 based on 2 seminal papers he published.

One major discovery such as this, followed by careful exploration is almost a sure ticket to becoming a Nobel Lauriate.

It is very exciting. I think it will stop some fetal stem cell research.
