I attended a very nice Marian retreat today, sponsored by the US Flame of Love Movement at the Shrine of St. Elizabeth Seton in Emmitsburg, MD (USA). We had Rosary, Mass, testimony by several great speakers, Adoration, and veneration of Mother Seton’s relic. The main speaker was Mother Adela Galindo, who addressed the topic of why we need Mary and the importance of Mary (including Gospel references). Many great insights.
Here’s some pictures I took to share:

The Flame of Love movement is an international Marian devotion approved by many bishops including Archbishop Chaput. It received an Apostolic Blessing from Pope Francis in 2013. More info at theflameoflove.org (international website) and flameoflove.us (US website).

The “flame of love” is an unapproved claimed private revelation.

I mentioned nothing in my post about the revelation.
The devotion is approved and widely practiced, as I stated, with regular retreats and very large events, as well as weekly prayer cenacles at local churches.

As I mentioned, this event was held at the Seton Shrine run by the Daughters of Charity, which is not going to host devotions unapproved by the Church.

There are quite a few Marian devotions that are approved for practicing the devotion, without the underlying revelations being addressed. “Our Lady of America”, which was recently the subject of someone else’s thread, is another that falls in this category.

This thread was about the beauty of the Marian retreat and the church it was held in. The OP did link information about the group hosting the retreat. I had never heard of the group or the private revelation. It was interesting to find out about her retreat. Let us just enjoy the beauty of the church.
