Working in the professional atmosphere with varieties of people, the ideal etiquettes/demeanors are so high of expectations, that it clashes with how Christ expects His followers to behave in such settings. I know that sticking to the point of strictly discussing work matters is expected, but the Holy Spirit urges my heart, mind, & soul to ‘live simply, pray often, & be His hands and His feet’, while not letting the professional world change who I am on the inside.

Please pray that all jobs remind us that it is but a mere chapter of our lives… life is short, live for Christ as much as you can without letting one’s status influence/shape our livelihood. He knows what’s best, He knows our souls.

PRAYER TO SAINT JOSEPH,
THE WORKMAN

We speak to you, O blessed Joseph,
our protector on earth,
as one who knows the value of work
and the response of our calling.
We address you through your holy spouse,
the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God,
and knowing the fatherly affection
with which you embraced Our Lord Jesus,
ask that you may assist us in our needs,
and strengthen us in our labors.

By our promise to do worthily our daily tasks,
keep us from failure,
from a greedy mind,
and from a corrupt heart.
Be our watchful guardian in our work,
our defender and strength
against injustice and errors.
As we look to your example
and seek your assistance,
support us in our every effort,
that we may come to everlasting rest
with you in the blessedness of heaven.

Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

†

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

†

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.
