  1. Too “follow Christ”
  2. What does it mean to YOU; to “follow Christ” ?

To me it means to receive the Sacraments in Church, and study the word at home. And then the hardest thing yet, try to live the word you received and Studied:D

I be his disciple…a Christian… To live the reality of ones baptism…

(read Pope Benedict XVI on this…)

For me it means to seek to be “conformed to his image”…to “be partakers of his divine nature…”…“have this mind in you which was in Christ Jesus”…the “Sermon on the Mount” is the manifesto we should live by…operate by…do our business by.

I follow Jesus of Nazareth…in him I find the clearest, fullest and most Truthful “revelation” of who God truly is.

don’t forget to follow Him
with a cross on one’s back…

Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me

So far the post-replies seem to be about “self.” Can , ought it be about “us” or “them?”

If so how is it manifasted?

God Bless,
Pat

It’s means to follow Him to the best of our ability. To mean it means following Christ through His Word

I think it’s a formula with nuances for each soul (due to personal gifts, and weaknesses…it’s one reason there are different charisms to begin with) so to get a completely black and white answer to pin down is problematic.

For me, it’s drawing close to Him, doing be best to learn and grown into authentic discipleship.

Which means, for me, it the journey to “follow Christ” unfolds as my life unfolds. The common denominator being the health of my personal relationship with Him.
