Hello there , just as there is St.Xenia in the Russian Church and St.Andrew the Fool for Christ. Are there any similar saints in the Roman Catholic church i could look into?

St Benedict Joseph Labre - one of my favourite saints. After being rejected from or kicked out of three different orders, he decided to walk to Rome… from France. In Rome, he lived on the streets as a beggar enduring abuse from passersby, while also conducting miracles like multiplying food fro his fellow homeless. Upon his death, after he had collapsed and was carried into a nearby church, children from nearby houses cried out “the saint is dead; the saint is dead”. He was also almost certainly mentally ill and, personally, I like to think that if a mentally ill homeless man can be a saint there[s hope for me yet!

Where to begin! Given that he lived before the ideal of mental illness was recognised, it’s realistically impossible to say. Certainly, he was considered “odd” by the standards of the time and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he was on the Autism spectrum given he reportedly suffered from suffered from scrupulosity but that’s just amateur speculation. If nothing else, his affliction drew his closer to God since he undoubtedly knew more than most his need for divine help and grace.
