Hello, brothers and sisters.

I ask you to pray for me, please, for I have been suffering greatly with a scrupulous mind. I thought I was able to control it, but now, everything just got a little worse and I feel really bad.

I am lost. Everything seems to me an occasion of sin, or sin itself. I know the pain will eventually go away, and I know the Lord won’t let anything bad happen to me. Please, pray for Our Lady to look after me as I go through this - I know our Mother’s already doing so.

God is good all the time and I love Him. I won’t let my scrupulosity make me think otherwise.

My name’s Vitoria. Thank you for your help!

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayers offered for you🙏

Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers for the sick members of our community and for all who are in need. Amid mental and physical suffering may they find consolation in your healing presence.

Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness,
make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits. May these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and so join us in thanking you for all your gifts.

We ask this through the Lord Jesus who healed those who believed.
Amen.

In the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

I pray that our Heavenly Father provides you guidance, strength, and other blessings.

Do not let your mindfulness of sin ever nudge you away from God; it is the reason we are to go to Him and be thankful for His grace. Christ Jesus paid the penalty for your sins and mine, etc.

Father please bless and heal Vitoria. May she be healed by the touch and grace of the Holy Spirit. May she walk strong in Christ and spread the good news of your word. In your name, Jesus amen!

You’re on the road to recovery. Kind souls here are praying for you and you seem to have hope which in my opinion is the antidote to scrupulosity.

In the tradition of the Church regarding this matter obedience to a spiritual director familiar with this issue is necessary in order to get rid of scrupulosity.

You might also benefit from therapy. There is a book by a wonderful Catholic psychiatrist Conrad Baars named Feeling and Healing Your Emotions which I recommend.

Lastly you are probably in need of intellectual affirmation. Anxiety disorders such as scrupulosity are not healed by prayer alone. Prayer must yield to concrete action. Scrupulosity is a disease which is partly grounded in intellectual error: that is, in thinking that something is sin which is not sin. You should feel free and encouraged to post questions here regarding what you believe to be sin in your life, so that you may be disabused of false notions.

God bless you.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Thank you all immensely for all your prayers! May God bless all of you. I have been feeling better lately; I’m sure all your prayers have contributed to that. Thank you, thank you. <3

Thank you for your kind words, and also for telling me about this book!

I have figured that some professional help might be the key here; I was just a little hesitant at first. Now I see that, in order to be healed, praying and searching for/getting help are what I need. Thanks be to God!

I’ll come here for some help whenever I happen to have a doubt about sin. You all are the loveliest! Thanks a lot!
