For a situation re a friend living in my apartment

A friend of mine has been living in my apartment rent free for a few years now, with her children. It was a messy divorce and she struggles to make ends meet. I live abroad and am happy to help in this way. But now she has moved in her new boyfriend. She never told me this, I found out through other people. I feel used and angry. I am going home for my annual visit soon and need to address this. Please pray for this intention, that it all goes the way it should. Thank you.

Praying for your intentions. I believe you are justified in your anger and in feeling used. I recently have had a situation where I was both mistreated and use by other people. Like you I was very hurt for it was individuals that I had gone out of my way to help.

What I have found helpful it to journal my feelings. I will write an email. I will not send the email for I believe it is always best to handle these matters person to person. I will explain how their actions have hurt me. Initially there will be some parts in which I am angry and vindictive and let that out by writing about it initially. In a couple of days I will return to my draft and will re read it with the purpose in mind to take out those statements that are hurtful, angry or abrasive. I focus on expressing my hurt but in a way that does not give offense to the other person. Once I am satisfied that the text is appropriate I will than use the email as a reference when I speak with that individual.
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
