Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Please pray for God’s many blessings on an “Annulment Workshop” being held at our parish today from 10 am till noon. This will be the third time our parish has invited one of the Diocesan Tribunal judges to come and give a presentation on what an “Annulment” means in the Catholic Church (and what it does not mean). The same woman has presented the topic each time and she is excellent – both knowledgable and compassionate. She is very generous with her time, driving a good distance to and from our parish and remaining after her presentation to answer any questions of a private nature which may not have been asked during the Q/A for all.
Please pray for her safety driving this morning and the safety of all those who are planning to come. Bless all those who may be undecided, that all who need to come, will come. The workshop is open to all who are interested and previous times we have had persons come not only from our parish but neighboring parishes as well. We had 50 participants at the first one and 60 at the second. Considering the Pope has made some changes in the process, there may be more attending today, if the weather is not too bad.
Thanks for your prayers. This workshop has led some in the past to participate also in the “Returning Catholics” program at our parish, which is a 6 week series of meetings currently led by one of our deacons. May God help us all to reach out to those separated from the Church, and to continue praying for all God’s family to gather at the table of the Eucharist to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your Faithful; kindle in us the Fire of Your Love. Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for us.
