For Baby E., born 6 weeks early

Please pray for my best friend’s baby girl who was born on Friday, 6 weeks early. She is currently doing very well, breathing on her own. But she’ll be in the NICU for some time seeing that she needs a feeding tube for breast milk (and she is getting TPN, but that is decreasing). She’s under 5 lbs.

Also pray for Mom, Dad, and Big Brother. My friend was hospitalized for over 2 weeks, and she should be able to go home today or tomorrow. She had a c-section so her recovery will take longer too.

Dear Lord, please be with this dear precious little one and her family.
 
I pray that God blesses the baby with a long, healthy and blessed life. I also pray that God blesses the dad, mom and brother with peace and may He help them treat the baby right. May He grant them patience and forbearance. Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from

the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Baby E). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by

speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.

You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from

the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Baby E.'s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Thank you all for the prayers. Baby is doing very, very well. She moved to a bassinet last night from the incubator. She just needs to grow some more before she can go home and be able to nurse well enough.

My friend is doing well, though she said pumping was a bit rocky at first. She said it was better after skin-to-skin with Baby, but being at home, the nights are just like having a newborn, except without the baby there.

My hope is that she can come home before Christmas, though it’d be wonderful if she could go home next week for Mommy’s birthday. But thankfully she seems very healthy.
