I’m studying in the university, and it seems that lying is a common practice that even professors may expect, like making up false data for surveys.
I know that lying itself, even when expected by the audience, is sinful. I am determined not to do so, but many of my assignments are group projects. There are member(s) who assume(s) that we’re going to make up data as if it’s just a standard step of doing project.
The rarity of honesty could give me a reputation of being a weird trouble-maker, which would affect my current and future group projects. I ask for your prayers, that God would grant me extra courage to persist in honesty and all Christian morals. I also ask for prayers for all irreligious and lukewarm souls, that they may turn to our Lord. May our schools no longer be hotbeds for sins, but fertile lands for virtues.
Fyi: I live in a very secular place, where irreligion or lukewarmness is the norm among teens. Some fundamental Christian values could be surprising and bizarre to many, even if there are Christians around them.
