A reality TV show called Undressed premiered tonight in Australia.

The premise is that a couple strips each other down to their underwear, climbs in bed, and interacts as directed by words on a giant screen.

This goes beyond creepy into the realm of the satanic, in that it is a grotesque inversion of intimacy (the couple are strangers), exclusivity (they are used as instruments to titillate unseen multitudes), and humanity (their actions are directed by a giant screen).

Please ask the intercession of Blessed Mary Ever Virgin.

What we are seeing here are intimations of sexual union stripped of the divine sacramental context of marriage, and inserted into the profane public context of spectacle, offering a foretaste of some horrible future in which we are all goods for each other’s consumption.

If only we realized that we are more naked before God than before a million strangers.

Isn’t it amazing how we have progressed from The Andy Griffith Show, Leave it to Beaver, Father Knows Best, and The Sound of Music to where we are now (and where it seems we are going?) I expect that in a few years, there will be a class action lawsuit demanding XXX rated pornography be permitted to be viewed on any channel and at any time of day. And the lawsuit will cite freedom of expression as its rationale. Heck, a few more years and you’ll be able to tune into your favorite Satanic Black Mass. :eek:

I watched two episodes of a Survivor Island
reality TV show, in which men and women
compete and are pitted against each other
for 30+ days on a deserted Island. They have
“weapons” to survival including “idols” if
one finds an idol before the daily elimination
meeting, he or she is exempt from elimination,
It is very interesting to see the various interact-
ions to scheme in voting out a fellow member.
The last one surviving will get a million dollars,
altho I didn’t see the end of the show, I saw
it when there were six left on the show.

The “Reality TV” show YOU are talking about
is more of an occasion for fantasizing about
sexual intercourse and is NOT right for con-
sumption by immature persons, I pray that
it may NOT qualify for broadcast, O Lord!!
