My dear friend is very sick with a mental problem. She took an overdose last night. Please pray for her. She is desperate and took some tablets which may take her life and has been drinking a lot of alcohol for a week…

She went to hospital tonight by ambulance but didn’t see a doctor. She got home somehow and is now showing signs of liver failure. She won’t let any of us help now because she feels ashamed to ask for help and be ignored. She said that other people went ahead of her. I went in and she was in a waiting room when she should have seen a doctor right away. She was a bit badly behaved but not too much. She just needs someone to listen, I guess.
They seem to pick and choose here and it’s getting worse with this new government. She is a good person who has been through some very bad times.

Please pray that she recovers.

I thank you all on behalf of my friend Geraldine. Through your prayers and help from her friends, she has asked for professional help and this is coming from both National Health Service sources and from a Christian ministry, not Catholic, very near to her home. It is the latter who are determined to help her and will liase with professionals to help to get her well. Of course, she has to do the work herself but she doesn’t feel so alone and has asked me to thank you.

Please continue with your prayers for her as she has a very difficult road ahead of her and please pray for those people who seek to help her.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be. Amen.
