Please pray for my brother K. He has fallen away from the church, says he doesnt believe in God, and is living with his girlfriend.

Adding my voice to yet another Monica (and Monica’s sister!) praying for her Augustine. May he find his way back.
 
Let me just say, Thank you.

I didnt really know what to expect from a posting. I have never posted to anything before. Especially to ask for prayer.

To make a long story short, 6 months before my wife and I got married we had a major conversion back to the Catholic Church. It was a miracle because of where we had been before. Since then, we are active members in our church, have had our first baby, and cant get enough of our new found faith in God.

Everything was (is) going great.

Until the situation with my brother. He is really a lapsed catholic, I dont think he waould even understand apostasy if I explained it, and his girlfriend is another Christian denomination.

They live together, are going to get married next year and he has asked me to be the best man. I didnt really think it through when I said yes. Now I understand what it means and that I can not do that (unless the reqs are met) and, therefore, it is going to be painful to explain all this.

He is my brother. I love him. I cannot imagine doing something like backing out of being his best man. It will not be good.

So, to make a long story short…

Please pray for me too. I selfishly want people to pray for him because if he finds his faith, asks for a dispensation and a priest to attend the wedding, then I am off the hook for having to stand up for my faith. I realize this is pretty lame.

Please pray for me.

Our Father, you know the heart of K, grant him your peace. Bring forth joys in his life that he knows can only come to him through Christ our Lord.

St. Monica, please pray for K and mend this family.

Lord this man needs you . Lord please let Jesus enter his heart and to change his ways . Let him be a changed man and to seek you Father everyday and want to be in prayer and in love with you dear lord . thank you Father , in the name of Jesus , amen . / John
