I’m trying to break free from my old life. Of chain smoking cigarettes and viewing porn clips…I am asking you for prayer …and also St Dymphna…patron of mental illness…help me and be with me and pray for me.

Heard Pamela Anderson the other day talk about the dangers of porn and she is so right. It is for losers and lazy people who won’t go anywhere in life if I keep it up. It is a public hazard and it’s killed off so much goodness and blessings in my life…

prayers for you. Porn and masturbation are 2 of the biggest tools of deceit the Devil has ever brought about on mankind. Trust me, there are lots of sources who even back up the dangers of both from a purely scientific point of view. Blessings to you! 🙂

I can’t help in this area but I high reccomend you to talk it to your local Parish priest. There is also a good Priest in the forum one among many. Send a private message to Don Ruggero I am sure he will be able to give you the right kind of direction because he a priest which understands the soul and moral theology for years and years of study Our Lord gave authorization to priest by saying "But if thy brother shall offend against thee, go, and rebuke him between thee and him alone. If he shall hear thee, thou shalt gain thy brother.

And if he will not hear thee, take with thee one or two more: that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may stand. And if he will not hear them: tell the church. And if he will not hear the church, let him be to thee as the heathen and publican. Amen I say to you, whatsoever you shall bind upon earth, shall be bound also in heaven; and whatsoever you shall loose upon earth, shall be loosed also in heaven. Not as in the charismatic movement but they refer inside the authority of holy Mother Church.

This is why it is so important to talk to a Catholic priest.
 
Dear Keverlast

Do not lose hope. You can beat this. You can be free. With Jesus’ help and grace. My advice is go to confession. Make a clean breast of it. Go to Mass and receive our Lord. Go to adoration frequently. Go to Mass as often as you can. The Eucharist is key. Pray the Rosary daily.

Again, the Eucharist is key. You cannot do this on your own. The good news is that you don’t have to. Jesus will help you if you let Him do so.

The secret is Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, Mass, adoration, rosary. Go to confession fort nightly at first. If you fall, get back up. Persevere.

Also, you are not hopeless. No one is laughing at you. Remember, demons can and do play with people’s minds. That may be why you experience such thoughts.

Nothing is impossible to God. Your situation may seem to you to be desperate right now but truly it is not. Trust in the Lord. He longs to help you more than you want to even help yourself. Turn to Our Lady for help. Take one day at a time. It takes time to break bad habits.

Even if you stumble and fall it is important to get straight back up. Confess and carry on. Keep on keeping on. God knows your desire. He will supply the necessary graces if only you cooperate.

You can do it.

Praying for you! You are very brave to want to fight these temptations. Pray constantly…it will help. I would also recommend asking for St. Pio’s intercession.

Hi, I am ashamed to admit that I suffered from that
toxic combination and came to the conclusion(wrong)
that smoking opened the door to pornograhy/sexually
inappropriate videos on the internet. What we need to
understand is that these abuse the body and mind
and we DON’T OWN these, Christ has purchased us
with His own shed blood. We are God’s sons/daughters
forgiven b/c of Christ death on the Cross, He, like the
Father in the Parable of the Prodigal Son HAS ALREADY
forgiven us our sins and is waiting for us to REPENT and
CONFESS them to regain our title of a Child of God!!
So, what are you going to do about it, continue to sin or
return HOME??
