For my friend on her 92d birthday

And for me that I can deal with her situation.
She’s been part of my life since I was born. (That’s been both good and bad.)
She had a screwed-up life thanks to family dysfunction. She was more or less raised by some Catholic religious sisters.
She’s got dementia and is in a nursing home that’s still closed because of COVID and I can’t see her. I called. I don’t think she understood too much of what I said but she thanked me for wishing her happy birthday.
We spent her birthday last year together, she wasn’t yet in the nursing home but I could tell she wasn’t doing too well. We watched a Fulton Sheen rerun on TV.

There are other levels of mess here I don’t want to go into.
Please pray for us both. Thank you.
