For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (3DOCTORS), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (3DOCTORS). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into 3DOCTORS’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

I would appreciate prayers for this. Backstory - over the last eight years I have been dealing with an incisional hernia, had two outpatient mesh repairs that didn’t hold in 2010 and 2013. This October I had a reconstruction of my abdominal wall. It was much more involved, I was in the hospital 4 nights, and although I’m pleased with the results, it was a lot to go through. So I hope and pray that it holds. The doctor said it would take 18 months for complete healing.

The challenging thing now, since I’m feeling pretty good and becoming more active, is not to overdo, and there are a couple of specific things along those lines that I really need prayers for. First, this condition doesn’t come with an indicator light to tell you if you’re doing too much - you just have to rely on common sense and there’s a certain amount of guesswork. Second, it’s a condition invisible to other people, and even with my friends who know about it I’m running into situations where I might be asked to help with stuff or do activities beyond what I should. And I have to have the discernment to know, and the courage and tact to kindly but firmly decline. That’s really hard for me to balance and do from a calm place. I get anxious about it really easily.

Hope this hasn’t been too long but I just wanted to say what the situation is so that people know what to pray for. And thanks for the prayers.

Update

And thanks for the beautiful prayers. Hope they keep coming! I saw the doctor the other day and things seem to be going well. I’m still adjusting both physically and mentally - praying myself for spiritual and emotional balance. Overall good though.
