For my uncle who's facing yet another health issue

My uncle has been battling a very rare cancer for 2.5 years. He’s been through two major surgeries, has had many complications, and just has been through so, so much.

He’s going in for testing on Wednesday, and my dad says now he has some kind of liver disease (thus far the liver was not involved with the malignancies). My dad did not recall the details of what my uncle said, but “it didn’t sound good.”

Last year around this time their sister died, and their brother died 11 weeks before that, both of cancer. I just feel gutted and sick at this latest development.

Please pray it is treatable, that there is no recurrence of cancer, just for overall healing. And please pray for our family…it’s been a very rough couple of years.

I pray that the Lord heals your uncle and that He strengthens you and your family. May the Lord bring you closer together than you’ve ever been. Amen.

Thomas’ doubt.

Guide our searching for peace,
so that we may not seek it where it is not to be found,

the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (skigirl1689’s uncle). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into skigirl1689’s uncle’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Dear St. Anthony, you recognized Our Lord Jesus as the Divine Healer. In your goodness and kindness, please intercede for skigirl1689’s uncle, who is suffering from cancer. If it is God’s will, may the gift of healing be granted to him. Comfort him during times of unbearable pain, and ask our Lord to grant him peace and patience in suffering.
