I thought I would share this with you after reading another thread posted by someone who lost their faith in Christ.

There will be a time in everyones life when God will set you right with him. That time will come and we can only pray that God will not put us through hard testing. We can only hope that we will realize the errors in our ways and come back to God.

Let me tell you all about the time my fathers rosary fell out of his pocket.

My father took us over to visit my mothers brother (my uncle). During our stay my fathers rosary fell out of his pocket. My uncle smirked at him and said, “you don’t actually belive in that do you?” My father didn’t say much at the time, but when we got back to our house. My father was very upset and he made it very clear to us all that you don’t mock the holy spirt and the mother of God and get away with it.

Well several years past. My uncle lost his wife through divorce and his whole family split up. It wasn’t long after that and he didn’t have any money to live on. All his money was taken away from him and his wages caught up in lawsuits.

Then when he had nothing in this world and no faith in God to give him hope he killed himself.

The strange thing about this is that the night before this happened I had a dream of a man standing infront of an alter with a golden cup on it. I could hear someone asking him,“what is the mystery of faith?”. The man couldn’t answer the question, and as hard as I tried I couldn’t help him with the answer because my voice did not work. Then I saw my grandmother crying and I couldn’t figure out what was wrong. It was then that I awoke in the midle of the night. I sat in my bed and wanted to tell my parents that something was wrong, but I went back to sleep. In the morning my grandmother who lived 100 miles away knocked at the door. When my mother came to wake me up I told her that I already knew.

To think, if he would of had faith and said the rosary he would never of done such a thing.

That is a very sad story. I agree that those who have no faith or have rejected the faith they once had are more likely to suffer despair. Faith is a foundation on which we can build and live our lives. Without faith, we have less protection against the upheavals and stresses of life.

Wow very touching story. For me, my Faith in God is all I need to know that no matter what happens in my life, everything is going to be fine. People with no faith put thier lives in thier own hands and not in the hands of God.

So sorry to hear that your uncle took his life. A friend of mine took his life just this past September. The same thing happened to him. Got divorced, lost his kids and then took his life. He was only 28 years old.

Just thought I’d mention a book that may be helpful to people also. True Devotion to Mary. By St. Louis De Montefort (sp?).

I can only pray that more people see the importance of saying the Rosary. It has been one of the biggest helps in my struggles.
