For Perseverance - Applying to Seminary

Hello to all of my brothers and sisters! This is my first post as well as my first thread on Catholic Answers; I’m glad to make it, as I’ve only been reading (lurking) on the forums for the past two years or so.

I am 22 and am in the process of applying to Seminary, and I ought to be done the application this week. I’ve had it for two months, and if you’re familiar at all with it, it’s rather extensive work. I don’t have much left to do though, but this week I’ve been incredibly discouraged and seem to be facing constant temptations to give up or to commit sins I have struggled very much with, where the devil knows I am weak.

Before daily Mass yesterday, one of my fellow parishioners who I like to call my spiritual Grandmother, gave me a pendant of Our Lady, Undoer of Knots. If you could please pray for me, for these intentions, and ask Our Lady, Undoer of Knots, to intercede for me, I would greatly appreciate it. I have great confidence in Our Lady’s intercessory power. She often seems to be the one hope I have at continuing on my Christian journey. Thank you all and may God bless you.

Beloved Lord please bless SonofJoseph as he endures the natural nerves preceding this momentous and courageous step he is taking towards accepting what he believes is his vocation.

Please grant that Your Holy Spirit will continue to guide his discernment and his spiritual development, for even were he to eventually discover he did not have this amazing vocation, You certainly desire to bless him during this time.

Jesus, please surround SonofJoseph, always, with the protection and guidance of Your Angels.

Thank You Lord for giving SonofJoseph a spiritual grandmother who will undoubtedly pray for him, his vocation, his faith and faithfulness, his obedience to the gospel and the Church

Mother Mary please intercede always for SonofJoseph, in all things

Remember that the Devil knows your weaknesses (why shouldn’t he? An enemy always strikes at the weakest point in a fortress), and pray to the Blessed Mother for her intercession.

I’ll do the same, and I’ll pray for your intentions.
