For Safety and a Solution to a Problem

My cousin went on a search to find a friend of hers. She’s concerned that her friend’s husband is abusive because her good friend hasn’t had contact with her for years. When they last had contact with her, her friend had some injuries that had occurred under very suspicious circumstances. My cousin managed to track the woman down at her last known address. They are going tomorrow to see if she’s okay. Please pray for safety (for the woman, my cousin, and my cousin’s husband) and for a resolution to the situation.

Dear Pope St. Sixtus II, not much is known of your early life but as pope, you were responsible for the harmony between the eastern and western churches. In your short tenure of the papacy, you were an amazing example of peace, loyalty, and courage. You were martyred for your faith, and thus were the foundation that our modern Church was built on. Please pray for us who are still in this exile, the we may always keep forefront in our minds our ultimate destination and our ultimate Love. I also ask you to keep in your heart always the intentions I place before you today- for this woman’s safety and that of her friends who are helping her…Please bring these petitions to the throne of God and humbly present them to Him on our behalf. Thank you, St. Sixtus. Amen.

For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (EqualinHim, and her prayer intention.), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity.
