For the souls of those that died on the 9-11attacks

I don’t presume to know the state of anyone’s soul, but having actually been to ground zero on NYC, I feel like this is the least we can do. The attacks happened when I was 13, and for some reason keep popping up in my head today. Then again, when you’re watching twenty four hour news, how could they not? Those images are permanently in my head. I actually listened to some of the audio recordings of calls made from the respective planes, and the one that sticks out to me, is the recording of a woman, who called someone about what was going on, and she was saying a Hail Mary before the call. There’s more, but it gets disturbing, and perhaps I should not have made the mistake of listening to it. Never forget. May they rest in peace.

Prayers for all people that were affected by the 9/11 attacks. Prayed an Our Father and a Hail Mary.
 
Prayers for all those many that lost their lives, and the many others afterwards that worked at ground zero and lost there lives, along with those who are sick and dying from having worked at ground zero.

I live in the New York metro area. The view out of my office window was the WTC. I watched those buildings smoke for months. I worked for a newspaper in New Jersey. We ran extended obituaries of the 800 New Jerseyans who died on 9/11. I was part of the team of editors who edited those obituaries. I sobbed every night for months because I learned about these people – their spouses, children, hobbies, pets, etc.
