And why would God give someone “a cross” that causes them to be bullied, hated, and harassed?
If I am bullied and do not seek violent revenge, I am like Christ who endured scourging at the pillar.

If I am hated and do not return hatred, but kindness instead, and pray for those who hate me, I am like Christ who prayed in the garden that the cup pass from him yet did the will of Our Father.

If I am harassed and do not seek repayment for my hurt pride but forgive, I am like Christ who forgave those who were murdering him even as he was taking his last breath.

If I do those things, I become like Christ. And we can’t get into heaven unless we are like Christ.

It is not saying that it is ok to do these things but simply an acknowledgement of the fact that science is showing that our sexuality is innate and not something that we can choose.
Nope. Sexual orientation is not “innate,” because attraction takes awhile to solidify in the individual, often includes experimentation and even early role-playing, and is far more complex than a single controllling gene or even original propensity. It is not the consensus of the scientific community that sexual orientation is “innate.”
