Hi Everyone,
As a 21 year old girl with a fiance to whom I am about to be married to (in 3 weeks!!) I have had to make some difficult decisions in the last few years in order to keep my chastity/faith/virginity intact.
And I have found it one of the most testing and difficult part of my adult life - managing my sexuality in today’s environment. It can also be very painful, as many guys don’t respect that decision either.
AND I have sadly found that the Church does not give many sermons/talks/forums in which young people, singles, couples and parents can understantd a) why exactly is chastity important , and b)how to go about keeping your chastity of mind and body intact.
Then about three months ago, I heard about this course called 'Search for Intimacy" and it is actually run by another Christian church (not sure what to be honest, probly baptist, but essentially their stance on sex before marriage etc etc is the same as catholics). And my fiance and I went and it was an absolutely wonderful course. We then went and purchased the set of cd’s and booklet and gave it to my family as a Christmas present (I have 9 younger brothers, 7 of which are teenagers now). Over the past few weeks the whole family has done the course together and my brothers feel like they have been given a new direction. I can’t really explain it without writing pages here.
HOWEVER I STRONGLY URGE ALL OF YOU SINGLES COUPLES AND PARENTS STRUGGLING WITH YOUR SEXUALITY AND SEARCH FOR INTIMACY (OR WITH TEENAGE CHILDREN) TO PURCHASE THESE CD’S, OR FIND A COURSE NEAR YOU.
There are many threads on these forums about chastity and this has got to be the best course to take if it is an issue for you (or your children potentially).
