For victims of Midwest blizzard/flood storm

Please say a prayer for victims of the blizzards in western Nebraska that turned into devastating flooding in eastern Nebraska, Iowa and other surrounding areas. I grew up in rural Nebraska, near where a lot of the flooding was, I can’t imagine what they are going through. Many have lost homes, businesses, machinery, and livelihoods. Many ranchers suffered first due to the late winter blizzard in the midst of calving season, only to be hit by flooding right after. Each calf or cow loss is a loss of hundreds or thousands of dollars. Not to mention the amount of repairs that will need to be made to state and county roads, bridges and dams, as well as public buildings.

Pray for them and their families.

But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (starlady), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity.
