Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays, and a Happy 2017 to all my friends, acquaintances, and others I come in little if any contact with on CAF!

… but it’s Christmas, and it’s Catholic Answers Forum.

I believe it one thing to say ‘Merry Christmas’ and ‘Happy Hanukkah’ and whatever else you may wish to celebrate.

But it is Christmas, it’s not simply ‘Whatever you wish to celebrate’ if it’s ‘whatever you wish to celebrate’, why not change the day? Why did you pick Dec 25th? Why pick Dec 25th to say ‘Whatever your wish to celebrate’? if they don’t wish to celebrate Christmas and rather celebrate something else, that’s fine, I hope they enjoy themselves and I wish them no i’ll will, but it is Christmas that is giving us this holiday at this time and that is what we celebrate on Dec 25th.

So Merry Christmas first and foremost, and then Happy Hanukkah or whatever else if that’s what you wish to celebrate during these holidays.

Merry Christmas to you too 🙂

God Bless

Thank you for reading

I chose Dec 25 only because I celebrate Christmas. If you noticed, I mentioned Christmas first. But I also know on CAF we have our Jewish kin and our Muslim siblings and others, a cross-section of the world, even agnostics and atheists are a part of CAF. Btw I say siblings just because all of us are children of the Creator as I see it. And it is Hanukkah as well for our Jewish kin. Jesus and the earliest disciples were Jewish as you know. Also not often the first night of Hanukkah falls on Christmas Eve. I saw the last time was nearly 40 yrs ago. Peace.
