Forgivensss and guilt

ok, iv writtian this thread twice, but my computo kept sutting up and losing it on me!! hopefully this will work!

ok im a student who goes to a catholic univeristy! i consider myself a good catholic except wen it comes to the area of Sexuality… yea its one of those threads… cant talk to other people bout it… so why not here for a good answer

so yes i do the usual thing… i go out get drunk… have a good time… ill meet a girl (do i need to say more!!)

anyway fine i thought… lot friends who are going to teacher in religion will do the same… sleep with girls, other things and it doesnt bother them!! they say ach sure its not that bad…modern thoughts

i do it… but the guilt then messes with me for ages afterwards! but this doesnt effect them… they dont care but they are good enough catholics. mass every week! heklps out with the church anyway they can… i do this but i get the guilt

chrcuh says sex, masterbation, porn is all mortal sin! u die with that u go to hell (same as hitler i think is a bit harsh!)

i do confess this everytime at confession, but within a few weeks im back to square one!! im i doomed for damnation?? im i normal!! i just dont know!!! feel free to weight in!

why do these things pray on my mind… while others dont care!! why do i think im going to hell while others shake them off and continue to live on

why do i confess things in confession when others wou;ldnt even dream with it!! these arnt bad people… im not a bad person… why do i still feeel the guilt!

I know you want answers but I have a question and I am serious. I am not ridiculing you.

Were you intoxicated when you wrote these posts? You don’t seem to care how you present yourself.

First, stop drinking.

Second, pray the rosary. It is a powerful weapon. Ask for the Blessed Mother’s help. She will help you. She will guide you to #3.

Spend time with the Blessed Sacrament. Your Blessed Mother always leads you to Her Son.

Keep going to reconciliation.

Talk to a priest.

Avoid the places that cause you to sin. You have to avoid those problem areas and follow your promise to avoid the near occasions of sin.

You yourself are powerless to change your ways. You need the spiritual power that Jesus and His Mother will provide.

Ask them, on your knees, preferrably in front of the Blessed Sacrament.

Jesus is waiting for you right now at this very instant.

False. The punishment for sin is commensurate with the severity of the sin - God’s justice is perfect. However, God’s justice also requires repentance for all of our sins, or we will be separated from Him for all eternity.

Because you have received the Sacraments - the greatest gifts of the Holy Spirit - so it is the Holy Spirit who is convicting you of your sins. Others may not have received these gifts, or they may simply reject the graces that God has given them. And they suppress the truth that what they are doing is evil. Most of us have been there. As Eddie Mac said, avoid the near occasion of sin. Keep going to Confession when you fall, and receive the Holy Eucharist when you are in a state of grace. And yes, pray the Rosary, every day, and you will have all the graces necessary to avoid mortal sin. Plus, you will help many others who are struggling and may not have access to the Sacraments.
