A few formation events from 2009–2010:

1) Adrian Dominicans–new postulant, a marine biologist: adriandominicans.org/WhatsHappening/AdrianDominicanNews/AdrianDominicanNewsView/tabid/816/smid/1423/ArticleID/331/reftab/245/t/Marine-Biologist-from-Tennessee-Enters-Adrian-Dominican-Congregation/Default.aspx (Oct 09)

also a recent undated profession ceremony:

2) Benedictines of Perpetual Adoration Clyde MO

benedictinesisters.org/news/news_info.php.

In the summer of 2007, 4 women entered different stages of formation: one new postulant, one new novice, one first vows, one final profession.

In Oct 2009-- First Profession–scroll down under ‘news’, Sr. Nancy Rose

and in November, 2009, a postulant entered the novitiate

3) Franciscan Missionaries of Mary

www.fmmusa.com in “Winter 2009”, a pdf download “Sharings” pp. 8-9/16 , two women renew vows, in the international community, doesn’t say where.

4) Benedictine Sisters Yankton, SD.

This lists illustrated the often encountered difficulties in tracking formation events in many institutes’ websites. These events are often buried in scrolled news, long chronological columns of news events, or in long multi-megabyte newsletters.

What is impressive is the background of the candidates, both still young, but with professional training, one from Romania, and the participation of their parents and members of their parishes. Also the nice ‘balcony’ where the older sisters participated.
