Former N.J. Gov. James McGreevey is to appear on the Oprah show on 9/19/06 to talk about his meltdown surrounding the revelations that he was having an affair with a gay man. He’s there to promote his book entitled “The Confession”. Apparently, he spends most of the book chronicalling his downfall and discovering his homosexual identity which he currently refers to as “authentic”. McGreevey is (or maybe was) a practicing Catholic.

I am so tired to the death of the “famous”, coming out, going into rehab, having babies (unmarried - of course!), blah, blah, ad nauseum.
And I’m also tired of the media fawning all over them and their most recent “Look at me” ism!!!
I pay Cox Communications $42.00 per month just so I can see Law & Order in re-runs 6 evenings a week. I refuse to watch anything else. (well, MAYBE The Weather Channel sometimes. 😃 )

Riley, I just watched this on Oprah. I have so much sadness for his wife and kids.

As a “Garden Stater” I have to say that we DONT CARE…old news and long forgotten but most of the ordinary folks on the street!

But I do wonder…how did his wife not know what the heck was going on…???

I think it had something to do with the fact that while he was “identifying his true sexual identity”, she was recoveing from having a C-section after having his child. Considering the fact that he continued to be with her for a while after his experience(s), and was engaging in “risky” behavior, she should sue him for reckless endangerment and fraud and be entitled to any and all profits generated by his book or the inevitable movie rights from said book.

What some people don’t know is that the man whom he engaged in this activity was the man whom he nominated for the Homeland Security role within his administration. So, he seduced his employee while his wife was in the hospital recovering from surgery to have his child. Why should we care about his story again? Am I missing something?

Nope, IMHO not missing anything…we should not care about his story…plain and simple!
