Forty Hours Devotion

Hi,
I’d like to be able to attend a 40 Hours Devotion, but I can’t seem to find one in my diocese. I even looked in the diocese website, but it was confusing. I couldn’t even find anything on the sites of some parishes. I go to the Fort Worth Latin Mass Community at St. Mary’s in Fort Worth, TX. Is there anyone here who can help me out?

I haven’t heard of 40 hours devotion since I was a little girl, but most Catholic parishes do have exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at least once a month. Some have it for seven hours, some have it from after morning mass to 7:00 PM, and some have it once a week till 4:00 PM.

There are some parishes that have the Blessed Sacrament exposed seven days a week, twenty-four hours of the day. It takes a lot of cooperation and planning to do that. We have one such parish near us. It has been going on for over ten years now.

I searched on “Fort Worth” and found eleven churches with adoration.

If you have access to transportation, there is all-night adoration at the Oak Cliff Carmelite Monastery every First Friday/First Saturday, with EF masses by Fr. W at 8p (with homily & confession available) and Fr. L (no homily or confession). There’s also going to be an all-night adoration vigil at the FSSP parish in Irving the last Friday of June, I believe.

But as far as a true 40-hour devotion, I don’t know of any in the area. I don’t even know of any perpetual adoration chapels in either diocese in the DFW area.
