This is for all of us forum addicts out there. I am curious to survey what time people are using to browse/post these forums. And don’t be offended, I am as addicted as anyone!

Sorry I meant to allow for multiple selections but since I can figure out how to edit the pool, you can only choose one.

Well i don’t have a job, its summer time so I’m off from school, but I don’t spend all my time on here maybe a couple of hours posting a few times but mostly reading. But yeah I have a life and I live it!😃

This is a nice thread cuz it could help people control their addictions which is what the church teaches! (thanks Fr. Corapi!)

Peace and GB

I answered “All my time not eating and sleeping”, but that is only partially true. I also read while I’m eating 😃 .

(Actually, I only spend 2 or 3 (sometimes 4 (5?)) hours a day on the forum. But I’ve always had an addictive personality.)

What happened to the option “I gave up sleep and I’m eating at the computer now…” 😃

I am trying to figure what I’ll do in August when my boss will actually expect me to teach!! Can I make a Chemistry lesson plan out of these forums?

Hey, great idea. I can use it for my writing classes. Each student has to do 5 posts a day during the entire semester.

Thanks for the idea.

John

Glad to have solved your problem - mine still looms:) . I do teach at a Catholic school - just gotta figure out how to sneak the Chemistry in when we’re on the forums instead of learning the periodic table.

Don’t do it… (Sorry Karl 😦 ) It’ll be the last time you or any of their teachers see them all semester… they won’t graduate… of course maybe they’ll all end up with vocations… but they’ve got to show up to class sometime :o

I’m at work!

It’s not as bad as it seems, though. I just keep the window up and do an occasional browse. I run some computer programs that I need to wait for and that’s when I generally respond. That, and breaks and lunches. And before work. And after work. And…

Ok, I’ll admit. I am a little addicted.:o

But how wrong can it be? It’s a Catholic forum fer crying out loud!

And another thing…

I’ll bet Karl Keating is at work a lot of the time that he’s on these forums! That slacker! 😉

LOL! This really did make me laugh, because at this very moment I am eating a Stouffer’s lasagna while reading the forum! I have grown out of the giving up sleep part, though. Thank God for that. (Seriously, I used to stay up all night on the computer, get an hour of sleep, and then go to work. That HAD to stop before I completely ruined my health.)

Have a great day,
Judy

I have a lot of spare time on my hands. 😃

This could be viewed as a bad thing too ehehe :ehh:

I attribute my lone C for this quarter almost entirely to the C.A. Forums. That and a little lazyness on my part… 😛

Employees where I work can use the office computer for checking any free Web-based e-mail during breaks and lunch. So I voted the option that I spend only my spare time on these forums because there wasn’t an option to vote for “I subscribe to threads that I want to keep up on.”

😛

I have to admit that I read it at work - but that’s not as bad as it sounds. I keep it minimized and browse through only for a break (i.e. lunch) or if I’m waiting a report to spool. That’s not too bad - is it?

Well we’re glad we could help you with your school work Tyler… we’ll try to bring the rest of those grades up next semester, eh? 😃

Teacher to teacher, Kwitz: Post one response in the forums for each of the elements in the periodic table. Work out a code somehow… For example, the element is Molybdenum. You write a posting that says, ‘A wise child makes a glad father, but a foolish child is a Mother’s grief’ (Proverbs 10:1). The kids have to find a post from you with boldface letters in it, write down the sentence in which the bold letters appear, name the element, and only then can they fill it in on their periodic table. If you’re really clever, when they put all the sentences in order, they’ll have a brilliant defence of Catholic doctrine!

You could use a different Bible verse as a signature each time!

Here you go:
Happy are those who find wisdom, and those who get understanding… (Proverbs 3:13)
Lay aside immaturity and Live, and walk in the way of insight. (Proverbs, 9:6)
Be not afraid!
Let us exalt his Name.

You’re on your own for things like Mg and Zn!

Hey, if you do something like that, can you get some kind of tax deduction for ‘teacher development’ hours on the forums?
