As Obama said: “…above my pay grade.”
But i’d like to to go back in and try to learn the language. You could probably bet that it’d be peaceful, but it might take a while for responses.

Once or twice when i accidentally poked my nose into that sort of thing on these forums, the response bordered on hostile…sort of like: “Go back to the sand box.” That small forum might be a good place to observe literally at leisure.

So:
Thank you!

I will admit that there is sort of a different language aficionados of classical theism speak. I actually would suggest, if you haven’t already, to pick up a copy of Edward Feser’s The Last Superstition and to read his blog. This forum was created by followers of Feser’s blog, so they all speak with a slight Thomistic jargon.

It’d be good to be able to make sense of what these deep intellects are saying. For a start they’d mean stronger foundations under what i already know.

Your response was a bit too quick…as a procrastinator, i need that 20 minute edit time! 😊

PS
Ten or eleven years ago, Scott Hahn gave a good talk titled “The Forerunners of the Reformation”…the Via Antiqua of St Thomas et al being pushed aside by the Via Moderna of William of Ockham et al. Seemingly insignificent changes, but with tragic consequences, culminating in the current turmoil in the West.
But you probably have a deeper understanding of it than i have. 🤷
