I have been searching high and low to find out if Fr John Corapi charges for his conferences when he preaches. I am sure I heard from his mouth last year in Buffalo that he does not charge at all and subsits on the sales of his tapes, etc.

Please can anyone confirm this at all? I would be most grateful!

i don’t know honestly. perhaps paramedicgirl knows? she watches him quite a bit. does EWTN know? does he have his own website? perhaps that may answer your questions?

He doesn’t charge…the conferences usually do though. He relies on sale of his tapes and books.

There is definitely a charge…

We enjoyed him twice at our parish for summer conferences… one a three event, the other a two day.

The first time, the “cost/donation” was approximately $4000 plus all travel and lodging expenses.

His “crew” did the audio recording, and handled all those sales… about 150 sets at $40 each for 6 audio cassettes.

The second time was about the same costs. No recording was permitted… although I did record the mass and homilies… and had a “discussion” with his assistant about it.
The contents of the 2nd conference were advertised as including the Luminous Mysteries. But in his own great style, Fr Corapi tends to speak whatever comes to mind… all good stuff. It was just strange that the “conference” was already available on CD… expensive!

So… be prepared to pay a sizable fee which can be offset by a registration fee. … and you need to have at least 500++ people to break even… and that would be assuming that he is even booking any more conferences.

All his tape/CD/DVD sales are his for his mininstry… and some are very expensive (like $10 for a 30min CD).

All in all… he is worth every penny… and I just wish he would complete his book on his conversion with all the added stories and details.

I believe that is in the works. 2007 will be the last year he travels for conferences. He is planning on staying in Montana and writing.

This is about right for quite a few of the popular apologists. Take or add a few dollars.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to answer me…although I am certain I heard these words, my memory may certainly not be right at all…God bless everyone as I will enjoy him in June at Hamburg!
