I love Fr Corapi and will always admire and respect him. I’m not one to judge, I just have a few thoughts that I wrestle with
  • What reason would he colour his beard dark other than to look younger? Why would a priest be concerned with such a thing?
  • Why would a priest ride a Harley Davidson? I wonder where his heart is/was with such a worldly thing?
  • Why did he always brag about his academic achievements? He seemed to be excessively proud

You say your not one to judge but it sounds to me like your getting very close!! God Bless, Memaw

He’s wandered off now.
It was many years ago.
Why would you dredge him up after all these years?
Not really prudent to speculate on other people, especially those that do not want to be “found”.

Hi,

We can’t really know his motivations for doing all these things.

Maybe he road a motorcycle because the taxes/insurance was cheaper and he was concerned about giving the excess money to the church or to the poor.

Maybe he talked about his academic achievements because he was concerned about sounding more credible in proving God’s word.

Maybe he colored his beard because he thought he ‘‘appeared’’ better and perhaps God would get more glory…

Let’s all think the best of others, and let us all hope that all of our motives will be for God’s glory, and if others would think differently of us, well, that’s just up to them, because in the end, it’s just us and God.

Respectfully, it seems like you are more concerned with the color of his beard than he is. How, pray tell, is such an astoundingly insignificant matter a concern? How is it anyone’s business what color his beard is? 🤷

Motorycles are licensed, registered motorized vehicles, just like 4-wheel cars are and subject to the same rules of the road as cars. Harleys are no more “wordly” than cars are.

He remains in the priesthood. Let him find his way in peace.

With all due respect, that sounds like a awful lot of judging.

And not prudent, as someone pointed out.

Negative speculation about people can damage their reputation. And if that happens it becomes a mortal sin. So I try to avoid it.

Fr. Corapi is greatly missed. I hope he somehow finds his way back into his former ministry because his charism is hard to replace.

It has been six years since he left his religious order. There is no need for critical questions about the past. Pray for him.

As for his beard - how do you know he colors it? I’ve known men with gray hair on top of their heads & darker beards.

We certainly are supposed to judge, but I’m not going to go into the meaning of Jesus’s words here, at length.

And, EWTN certainly has judged him, by scrubbing everything by him and about him from their operations. (Fr.) Corapi had a definite gravitas because of his deep voice, for one thing. His series about the Catechism of the Catholic Church was the only one that EWTN played, over and over.

After Corapi “left,” a new series by Fr. Charles Conner was produced in its place.

It seemed to take a long time for the disappearance of Corapi from EWTN to be explained. But, in addition to charity itself, there are moral and legal reasons not to slander him or to commit the sin of detraction by a “tell all” about him. So, it is for our own sake probably more than it is for his, not to dredge up the allegations, etc.

Well said, LA!

Where did you come across that information? That is so wild, you have to provide evidence
