Saturday, June 5, 2010 - Fr. Isaac Mary Relyea will be visiting St. Christopher Catholic Church in Radcliff, Ky to say the Traditional Latin Mass for the KY Catholic Homeschooling Conference. The Mass will begin at 8 am. Fr. Isaac Mary Relyea will also the keynote speaker for the conference. Note: Fr. Shannon Collins was originally scheduled to celebrate the Mass and speak but something unexpected came up and he had to cancel. Fr. Isaac Relyea graciously agreed to be our replacement. Please spread the word. We are hoping for a good show of support for the conference, the Mass, and Fr. Isaac Mary Relyea.

Excellent, thanks for posting. Is this the first EF Mass there since the introduction of the NO ? If so, The New Liturgical Movement may do an article if quality photos can be provided. 🙂

How old is St Christopher church ?

Ouch

Surely they are not serving donuts before Mass ? At 7:15 ? I hope the organizers take the pre-Communion Fast into consideration.

"
We hope you’ll find our conference an opportunity to gain motivation and strength for your Catholic homeschooling journey. Registration begins at 7:15 a.m.–vendors will be open. **Enjoy complimentary donuts and coffee **served by the St. Christopher/Old St. Patrick Knights of Columbus Council 12623. Be sure to be in time for the celebration of Holy Mass by Father Isaac Mary Relyea! "

Fr. Isaac Mary Relyea, a Franciscan of Mary Immaculate, has recently moved into the Diocese of Madison. With the permission of his religious superiors and of Bishop Morlino, Father Isaac Mary is exploring the founding of a new Traditional Franciscan community. Prior to becoming a priest, Father Isaac was a ‘wayward son’, living in contradiction to Christ’s teaching. Due to his Mother’s prayer and the call from God to become a priest, he came back to the Church. Father Isaac is well known for his Traditional Catholic Missions. Very tough talks, from his very real experience!

I don’t know if the EF Mass has ever been celebrated at St. Christopher’s. This is a one time thing as part of the homeschool conference. The pastor of St. Christopher’s has given us permission to hold the conference on his premises (not in the Church) and to have the Mass (the TLM) in his Church. However, he, himself, will not be celebrating it. Fr. Isaac Mary Relyea is going ot be coming in as our Keynote speaker and will also celebrate the Mass for us.

I think this would be a very worthwhile event to attend for whoever is able to.

I do not think Fr. Isaac is still with the Franciscans of the Immaculate though.

Ave Maria,

I believe you are correct. I think the website where this information was taken from was mistaken on that part.

BTTT as a reminder. It is not necessary to be a homeschooler, or to attend the conference, in order to attend the Mass.

Please pray for the success of both.

Please keep the Mass and the conference in your prayers.

About Father Isaac Mary Relyea

Reminiscent of St. Augustine, Father Isaac Mary Relyea had taken a dark road in life. However, he benefitted from the continual prayerful intercession of a devout mother who loved him enough to never give up on him. The results were that he had a dramatic conversion which brought him back to the church and into the priesthood.

Today, Father Relyea is a Franciscan and has established a reputation as a strong-speaking mission priest, having presented to crowds as large as 7,000. Citing great shepherds of the church such as St. Alphonsus Liguori and St. Louis de Montfort, Father Relyea is a committed confessor, typically spending up to 12 hours a day in the confessional during his missions. Well-versed in St. Liguori’s Moral Theology, and his other great pastoral work Guide for Confessors, Father Relyea seeks to inform the consciences of those whom God graces to hear the fullness of the Gospel message, so that they might effectively utilize the sacraments toward the cleansing of their souls.

Father Relyea’s devotion to preaching the Four Last Things–Death, Judgment, Heaven, and Hell–and his explanation of the Particular and General Judgment–have led thousands of souls to a higher degree of grace and preparation.

Father Relyea regularly offers the Tridentine Latin Mass, and will be doing so at our June 5th conference. His talk will be on the responsibilities of Catholic parents with regards to the eventual vocations of their children.

Father Relyea currently resides in the diocese of Madison, Wisconsin.

For those in the California area, Father Isaac is actually scheduled to speak at another conference on June 12, 2010 with Jesse Romero and Terry Barber (the founder of Lighthouse Media/St. Joseph Communications) at the Be the Man God Calls You to Be Men’s Conference.

Here is a registration form for anyone interested:

I know Fr. Isaac well. I am jealous, in a good way, that I am not living in his area. If I were I would take full advantage of anything he offers. I was fortunate to be present when he was ordained and he was the priest that said my brother’s funeral. If we had more tough guy priests like him Satan would be crushed all the sooner. We must keep priests like him in our prayers constantly because the Devils want them silenced.

Now that this thread has been resurrected ;), I must say that I love Relyea. He can be a little over-the-top in his indignation for my tastes, but you can tell it is a burning conviction in his heart. Such zeal seems to be unmatched today.
