They were originally members of the Sisters of the Divine Savior from Milwaukee.
 
Those who propel a causus are the devotees. Even if the community is extinct, those devoted to the founder will be responsible for gathering the preliminary information to take to the local Ordinary. He does the review, then, if the person is credible, will declare them Servant of God. He sends it to Rome, and they take it from there.

Rome will assign a Postulator to the causus, so there is a central rally point between Rome and the devotees.

I’m not exactly sure how or when the SG gets the title of Venerable. I do know that after Venerable comes Blessed then Saint. One miracle is required for someone to be declared Blessed. Likewise for Saint.
