Franciscan Volunteer Ministries

So, I recently applied for and was accepted into the Franciscan Volunteer Ministry. I could be living/working in North Carolina, Philadelphia, or the DC area. I haven’t gotten my assignment yet. I’ll be working as a laywoman alongside the Franciscan Friars of the Holy Name Province in a variety of different ministries. They are heavily involved with direct service to the poor. I am thinking of starting a blog. How many of you would be interested in reading it?

I was in a similar program back in the early 1980’s in San Francisco. If not a blog definitely keep a journal.

If you haven’t blogged or journaled before I would suggest finding a way to hold yourself accountable…there’s a million of these but they all stop 2 or 3 weeks in.
