Are the Frank Peretti Books innocent enough to have in stock in our Catholic Parish Library? Do they have any anticatholic sentiments in them (or just plain bad theology)?

Are you talking about This Present Darkness?

I think they contain pretty poor theology.

Interesting concept but NOT FOR EVERYBODY to read.

I wouldn’t let teenagers read them.

They gave my wife nightmares.

Just my opinion.

his adult books are full of holes and spirtual “magic” shall I say…spirituality is over emphasized, the evil is given ridicusally powurful roles in the beginning that is eventually conqutred by simple means…many of his books predate Harry Potter, but his adult books carry a smililar theme to Potter…good over evil but with a supernatual twist

his teen books are well writen and funny, and usually end with logiclly placed concluisions, my favorite is “hangman’s curse” it a great read
