For anyone who may be interested, a program is available
that is free, easy to install, and that greatly simplifies
the task of comparing various translations of the Bible.
It’s called e-Sword and and can be downloaded at:

e-sword.net/index.html

Using this program you can bring up on the screen parallel
texts of, for example, the Hebrew, Greek, Latin, Douay, KJV,
and ASV for quick and easy comparison and contrast. In
fact, there are about 75 Bibles in all sorts of editions
and languages availlable for download.

This program is a gem. If you don’t already have it, you
might consider snapping it up while you have a chance. Use
it to cut through the hassles of that book-cluttered desk.

I use it all the time. I particularly like the search feature (like a digital concordance). I only wish that they would have more Catholic versions available, but coming from a Protestant source, it’s not unexpected. I am grateful for the DRC (even with it’s typos 😃 )
