Is there any free Catholic Bible software available?

There is some very useful free Bible software available, but they mainly Protestant in their commentaries.

Just wondering if there is any such Catholic resources available?

There is a decent freeware Catholic Bible program (for Windows 98 or later), called VulSearch, that contains the Latin-language Clementine Vulgate and the English-language Douay-Rheims Bible here. The program takes up about 10 Megabytes. Note: While installing it on my computer, it prompted me to download a program from Microsoft that takes up about 24 Megabytes, called dotnetfx.

There is also a not so decent freeware Bible program, called the Bible Millennium Edition, that features the text of the Douay-Rheims Bible here. Note: The deuterocanonical books are separated from, and are viewed and searched separately from, the protocanonical books.

Neither of the above Bible programs contain any commentary.

This site offers a free download of a great searchable Catholic Bible. Its only 6 MB.

The Douay-Rheims Bible - Bishop Richard Challoner Revision (Imprimatur 1899) is a direct English translation of what is still the authoritative Bible of the Catholic Church - the Latin Vulgate of St. Jerome (342-420). This was the only official Catholic edition of the Bible available in English until after Vatican II. It is regarded by many to be the best and most reliable translation of the Bible.
