Why does credit/discredit for a free will choice require that it should precede from a temptation.?

If I get tempted for a sexual sin and make the wrong choice, all celestial heads are up in horror and I’m summarily marched by my concience to confession.

If under a mild pensive spiritually calm moment under an apple tree on a sunny day I make the decision I no longer wish a sexual drive(ref:left hand, bad, cut off, yada, yada…) the only reaction it illicits is disinterest,(sound of crickets chirping ).🙂

My choice here should illicit as much joy and granting in this sacrifice I offer to God, as my decision to sin and the reaction of horror that caused, as I will no longer be having a libido as a launching pad for Satan, therefore no longer offending God.?.

The missing factor in the second is Satan. There may be a war going on between God and Satan, but when opportunities pop up that can nip it in the bud in favor of God and man, we get no reaction. God doesn’t seem to like occasions permanently being removed. A little intrigue must remain I guess byproducts of the test.

When you are the recipient of suffocating love, sometime the lover forgets you need to come up for air. 😃

A couple of thoughts -
Why wouldn’t the same Celestial beings who were in horror at your immoral choice, be rejoicing at your moral choice?

Why do you think the immoral comes from a physical part of your anatomy. Doesn’t Jesus say that what is evil comes from within?

If its “suffocating” it not love.

Because it’s moral aspects and potential good use is a sacrifice. I would be willing to relinquish what my judges define as delectable(summa) excess. (Ok, maybe not…:D.). Yup, chuck it all into the can believe it or not, my chin drooped in somber reflexion of an evil life gone forever. So why not leap at the opportunity to break me from this bond. If a show of commitment is just what was waiting for, here it is.
😊.

Nature is susceptible to Satan’s temptation.

How is this different than the sacrifice (of the good) in chosing evil?

I have no power to free from your bondage. Only you can do it, then only with God’s grace.
Nature is susceptible to Satan’s temptation.

So? Exercise the power of you will against it.

Didn’t Jesus say there is much rejoicing in heaven over a repentant sinner? Who is rejoicing if not all the celestial beings who are aware that we have turned away from sin?

They DO rejoice when we make moral choices, just as I rejoice when my friends and family do!

Maybe your desire to get rid of your libido wasn’t as moral or laudable as you think…
