The Torah came from God, through the mind of Moses. Without Moses’ mind, God did not write the Torah.

Moses did not take dictation from God the way the Qur’an allegedly came to Muhammad. Rather, God used Moses’ mind, his understanding, to write Holy Scripture. God has more respect for a human being than to bypass the understanding of His prophets.
Read again:

Num:16:28: And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.

Ex:33:11: **And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. ** And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.
In Pharaoh’s eyes, Moses was very God, and Aaron was Moses’ prophet.
This is true, but only in the case of Pharaoh, not in the case of the Children of Israel.
No, He did not. He spoke directly to Moses. Moses came down from the mountain with stone tablets upon which were inscribed the Commandments. That is not God speaking directly, that is God carving stone directly and giving that stone to his intermediary, Moses, to give to His People.
Read (Ex:20), this is where the Lord their God spoke directly to the Children of Israel the Ten Commandments. And they basically wimped out, or were over come with fear, and agreed that they would listen to Moses and Moses can talk to God for them.

I think that means Moses didn’t make up the God character in his own head. Moses didn’t send himself to free the Israelites, nor did Moses invent any of the doctrines he was teaching them.

What it doesn’t mean, is that, in the process of composing the Torah, Moses’ mind was absent or unparticipatory. Moses did not “channel” the Torah the way trance channelers claim to do, nor did He receive it by dictation from an angel the way that Muhammad claims he received the Qur’an. Rather, God used the mind and understanding of Moses to speak to Pharaoh and the Israelites, and to begin writing His Holy Scripture. “Of mine own mind” means, on my own initiative. Moses was a contactee; God grabbed him and caused him to do the things he did. That is what he means by “not of mine own mind.”
Ex:33:11: **And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. ** And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.
Friends strive to understand each other.

What would have been your conclusion, had you been one of those Israelites, and asked Moses, “Who is this God you say sent you?” and received the answer, “I am.” ?

O.K., point of correction taken. Thank you!

Freemasonry is based on a philosophy of the world that is diametrically opposed to that of Catholicism. In particular, Freemasonry in the upper echelons of initiation has a very definite idea about God that is at odds with the Catholic idea of God.
Cornering Freemasons on the subject of being ‘against’ the basics of Christianity is akin to picking up mercury with a fork! For every point you make, they are schooled in esoteric answers that are frankly, confusing to the average person. They’re true Gnostics in the sense that they are fond of the theory that “their truth is veiled in allegory” and only initiates would understand… Nice dodge, huh? Point is, they claim (in their words) “all roads lead to the top”,in other words, Catholic,Baptist protestant,Methodist,Buddhist,Mormon etc…As long as you believe in GOD(not necessarily Jesus Christ), you’re on your way to heaven. And it gets more convoluted from there! To me…it’s the most prolific organization when it come’s to false teaching of the gospel. Why do you find SO many Catholics,Baptists,Methodists, etc.pastors, deacons, elders, other church leaders who should know better?? As one friend and member told me(after he made me promise I wouldn’t say who told me) most men join for business, social connections etc…And by the time many of them ‘figure out’ it doesn’t jive with their basic Christian beliefs they’re so involved, it would ruin them socially, business contacts etc…Read books by former Master Jim Shaw for a good expose on the subject.

I find it fascinating that the USA was founded by Masons yet we know so little about it. I am very conflicted by the Church’s very strong admonitions about it yet realize that some of our countries greatest men were Masons.

Sin has never limited anyone to appear great. Those who sin large may only get the the pleasure they derive from theie worldly greatness. If unrepentent to the end they cannot experience eternal pleasure.

Nothing more ‘fair’ than the truth. I believe 2 Cor. relates that Satan can transform himself into an angel of light? That would be your false teacher category I believe which Freemasons would fit into as far as Christianity is concerned. I personally had two uncles who in their latter yrs. admitted that, once they totally dedicated to the church and started looking into the organization w/o the blinders on-so to speak.

Freemasonry is a non-Christian religion, nothing more. Catholics cannot join Freemasonry anymore than they can join Methodism.

Even its new “Ask a Freemason” campaign highlights this point, stating that is mission is to “spread the wisdom of the ages”. The problem is that the Gospel is the Good News for the ages. Freemasonry at best incompletely teaches the truth; at worst contradicts the Gospel.

If you pledge to not be indoctrinated then you are at odds to the Catholic Church.

I don’t care to pledge anything other than that which is required to be a citizen and to follow my conscience.

And of course to believe Church doctrine.
