This may be a silly question, but, how frequently does one need to pray for a specific singular intention? Does God see someone praying three rosaries as wanting/needing it more than someone who just says a single Lord’s Prayer? God bless.

I would like to say the faith involved while praying is just as important. A prayer without faith isn’t much of a prayer.

I can’t see how anyone could know the answer to that question. Sincerity is important though. It may be that persistence also pays.

God may of course answer a prayer in a way which you may find almost slips by without notice. Sometimes prayers seem to be answered indirectly in a way.

God bless.

@modestobruce, I invite you to come over to the CAF Prayer Forum. A core group posts requests and prays for the intentions of others. Before the revamping of the CAF site, we were know as “prayer warriors.” It’s a gentle, faith-building community. If you just spend a few hours a week in that forum, you’ll find yourself growing in faith without even trying. Please come over. We can always use another intercessor. 😄

God answers prayers based on His will not ours. The question you have relates to the types of prayer available to you. There is structures prayer, like a Novena that requires nine days of prayer, and usually nine days of Mass attendance for your intention. This is great because you approach God in a approved devotion tied to the Liturgy of the Church. Then there is private devotions ;like Rosary or Saints prayers, and your own prayers. God can answer all these types. Jesus said to Knock, and the door would be opened too you. But, sometimes it takes more than one knock. The Four Living Creatures around the throne of God pray the same prayer over, and over in Revelation!
