Friend is dying, I am so upset

A very good friend of ours is dying. Dennis and his wife Margarita have touched our lives so dearly. They literally saved our marriage through their ministry at Retrouvaille. Since we moved last year we haven’t been in touch as much, and I feel awful, wishing I could do more for them. But they are so far away now. All I can do is pray. These people have done so much good for so many couples, and now they are suffering so. I’ve been crying all morning since we got word that he only has a few days left. Please pray with me for them! May God help Margarita get through this, they are so devoted to each other I don’t know how she’ll make it. And for a happy death for Dennis. Jesus I trust in you!

We know that many saints had some kind of suffering at the end of their lives, and they were happy to offer this suffering up for God.

Yes, we pray for Denis that he is offering every little bit of his suffering to Christ and that he trusts in His great Mercy.

Just remember, prayer is always one of the best things we can do, even when we can do something that those who live only in this world would consider more practical. Also remember that God never gives us a burden we can’t handle. We must trust in his mercy.
