Friends Child out of control and threatening Suicide

Does anyone have any advice for my friend whose 15 year old daughter is caught up in a bad crowd expressed she will not stop taking drugs and tried suicide? Any resources , books, advice will be appreciated greatly. Prayer for Amanda too.
 
I would suggest your friend call the police and explain she is suicidal…they can bring her to a hospital or rehab where she can get treatment.

She needs help NOW.

Have your friend call her health insurance provider and ask for references. Have your friend call her county’s Behavioral Health/Substance Abuse hotline. Have your friend call the police if necessary. (when a friend’s teen son threatened suicide via Facebook a sensible friend called the police–they got the boy into therapy that very evening)

She doesn’t have time for books. She needs to get to a behavioral health professional now.

Talk to your friend NOW and tell her to call SOMEONE.

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal a Friends Child who out of control and threatening Suicide and Amanda. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into a Friends Child who out of control and threatening Suicide and Amanda’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon a Friends Child who out of control and threatening Suicide and Amanda in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Part of prayer is to act. Like another poster said, get help now. Turn over every stone to help this girl. If her mother doesn’t know what to do, just pick up the phone and call someone, anyone.
Don’t do it tomorrow. Do it today.
Threats of suicide need to be taken very seriously.

Lord, I come before You with a heavy heart for my friend.
She is struggling so much right now
with the things happening in her life.
I know You can be her greatest comfort.
I know You can step in and make a difference.
Show me how I can best help her.
Give me the words and actions
that will keep her from taking that ultimate step of suicide, Lord.
Let her see that there is a light at the end of the tunnel
and that suicide is not the route to take.
Lord, let Your presence be felt in her life
and let your comfort be what she needs.

Praying for each of your above intentions. Hopefully all is all right by now. . . . Prayer of apology and thanksgiving . . . because of forgetfulness to say “thank You” to Our Lord for all the blessings He pours on us and we do not even realize it. In addition, the thread could be closed if only a couple of people post on it and I want to get the “thank You” in. 😉 🙂
