Salvete, omnes!

Just a quick question: Are there any online resources where I can find stories of people converting from Judaism to Catholicism? I’m not looking for stories of “amazing coincidences” or “oh my goodness” moments. I’m looking for stories that involve careful study/though and even struggle.

Thanks.

You might check a website called Hebrew Catholics.
I read a book once called Salvation is from the Jews written by Roy Schoeman a Hebrew Catholic. I believe I read a book when I was converting that were conversion stories from Judaism to Catholicism called Honey from the Tree or something like that. Sorry it was over 6 years ago. There probably are some more but stay away from the messianic jewish sites because those are mostly from a protestant perspective. Hope this helps. I recommend the book if you have time to read it - Salvation is from the Jews.

Have you looked into the life of Saint Edith Stein ?
(Saint Teresa Benedicta of the Cross)
With her doctorate in Philosophy, she may well be the thoughtful person whose experience you wish to explore.
(In addition to the web sites below, there is a biography of her which I read several years ago.) May God bless you.
Amen.

Thanks, guys! You’re awesome! 🙂

Will have to check these out.

Also, still open to any further resources anyone might have!

There are a couple books that came out in the 1990’s which are collections of personal essays written by adult converts to the Catholic faith. Each of them contained a few essays written by Jewish converts. Some were quite moving and insightful, pointing out the theological continuity of that journey as a logical step of progression. I’m drawing a blank on the titles. Sorry.

When discussing the faith with Jews, it is crucial to be respectful and aware of boundaries. let them advance the subject to each new level. Ask and listen. NEVER argue or get pushy. Measure words wisely. Let your conduct and demeanor be your sermon.
