I managed to excuse myself from Girl Scouts, citing the religious holiday. :bounce: It will be difficult for them to find another chaperone (which is why I was going to begin with), but a luau is not an appropriate way for me to be spending my time that day.
So, I’m going to get my son a little early from school, and we will go to the ecumenical procession on campus at the University of Utah at noon. We will not watch TV, use the computer, or listen to music that day. I am going to spend as much time as possible in prayer, and I will set my son about working on his Cub Scout religious award for the afternoon. We will have some prayer time together, but I can’t expect my ten year old to sit in quiet reflection all day
We will go to services at 7:30.
